GET INVOLVED

We are so happy you’re interested in getting involved with our work here at ENLIVENING.
There are so many ways for you to help, and we truly appreciate each and every effort. By lending your support, you’ll become a valuable part of our Not for Profit Organization and help to strengthen our operations.
All monies we receive are used for the benefit of the people of Derby and none is used for salaries as all our directors are unpaid volunteers.
We do however occasionally use a small amount to compensate our volunteer drivers, based on HMRC Mileage Allowances.

In 2019 we paid our volunteers expenses totalling £215 and in 2020 we expect this to rise to around £300.

PARTNER WITH US

How you can help us by becoming a partner.

'Partnering in business' has many meanings, some mean 'give us your money, thank you', whilst others mean 'join us to make things happen' whilst 'sitting in the background helping.

What we can offer our partners is 'free advertising' on our websites, be it this one or our Facebook groups.
How can you partner with us?

The easiest way for a business to partner with us is to allow us to place one of collection boxes in your shop or business reception area.

Food Bank Partner
Another way to partner is by allowing us set up a food bank donation point at your premises to provide us with regular donations.
Sponsor Us
As with any not for profit business we have overheads to cover and we currently do so by fundraising.  However, if we could alleviate the need for fundraising it would give us more time to concentrate on our core business.
Options for sponsorship are a simple as agreeing 'a budget' so we know we have funds available or 'open sponsorship' where by we ask you to cover certain expenses, within pre defined limits and usage agreements.
If you feel you may be able to sponsor us please email Kevin Kemp using the bold link.

Two Men Shaking Hands

VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME

In addition to operating the Bread Basket and Food Bank Scheme every day of the year (excluding Christmas Day) throughout the year we host a lot of events including our Schools Out Café and many family themed parties plus our Christmas Project.
We have core of dedicated volunteers but will never say no to more help.
However, we do have strict guidelines re who will allow to help and these include an upto date DBS (which we can obtain for you if you don't have one) and at least one professional or character reference.
For catering volunteers we also require a certificated Level 2: Food & Hygiene for Catering or higher.

At present all roles are voluntary but as we grow there will be part-time and full-time paid vacancies becoming available and we operate a policy to offer such roles to our existing volunteers first.

In addition to the roles mentioned we are currently seeking a qualified book keeper and a membership secretary.
If you would like to know more please email us stating which role(s) you are interested in.

Please note: Enlivening and Derby in Need CIC operate an

Equal Opportunities Employment Policy
